Estate Editorial: Couture Meets the Vegetable Garden

Vogue Magazine dubbed cabbage as the “vegetable of year”. So of course I couldn’t resist integrating a freshly picked cabbage into this luxury editorial photo shoot! A historic garden estate, a stunning model in a flowing yellow chiffon gown, and a cabbage bouquet creates an imaginative blend of things I love: elegant couture and agriculture.

Cabbage: Vogue's Vegetable of the Year 2026

Different organizations name a “Vegetable of the year”. I loved Vogue Magazine’s pick of the cabbage as “vegetable of the year”, so this made for a perfect prop with this shoot with model Heather. I also thought the cabbage complemented really well with this fabulous dress, creating a look of timeless elegance.

Dress: chiffon pleated gown from Naked Wardrobe company

Cabbage: from Daigle Farm, Brooklyn, CT
