about Ling messer

Each photographer has their own set of skills, experiences, and perspectives they bring to the table. For me, photography isn’t just about snapping a shot. It’s about discovering the best way for a message to be visually communicated. Whether you’re a creative director, producer, marketing director, or simply a solo-entrepreneur, I’m happy to hear your ideas and needs.

Forager.

photographer with a love of nature

On a nice weekend, you might find me walking the trails on the hunt for some of nature’s prized edibles. Although I have yet to discover Lion’s Mane in the wild, you’ll see me studying my mushroom book, or picking ramps in the spring.

"Community connector"

connecting people in the community

Over the years, people regard me as a connector-type person. If someone needs a contact, I will make an introduction. I usually know somebody who can help. It’s hard to explain this kind of role in my area of Connecticut, but I’ve helped form many different types of business relationships among those in the “Quiet Corner” of Connecticut.

Dog lover.

dog photographer

I’m a sucker for fine art portraits of dogs. For several years, I’ve been photographing champion show dogs in Southern New England, that often prance on the floors of Westminster. As a dog owner myself, I love capturing the soul and personalities of furry friends.

COW FARM WORK MEETS PHOTOGRAPHY

Since I was a kid, and then throughout college and 7 years after, I’ve done every task you can imagine on a dairy farm, except driving a feed truck. While my dairy farm work spanned decades, my photography business grew, so I had to say good-bye to cows. My work today on farms consists of photography for farms, brands, publications, and marketing work for a few local farms. So, I guess my Animal Science degree isn’t all for nothing!
